Please join Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek and United Nations Association of Pasadena to celebrate human rights! Sunday, December 11th, 2pm-4pm
Creveling Lounge, Pasadena City College
1570 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, 91106

Every year, Human Rights Day is celebrated all over the world commemorating the signing of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights in December 1948. For the 68th anniversary, we will focus on the Right to Education through the lens of local schools and global refugees.

You don’t want to miss a meaningful youth art exhibit created for this event by students from local Pasadena schools with the theme of the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

This special celebration truly bridges local and global as our community’s youth engage with the world’s Global Goals and we learn together about refugees. Less than half of the worlds displaced children have access to education, and thousands of new refugees flee from war and crisis every day.

:: SPECIAL KEYNOTE SPEAKER ::
Sama Wareh, an artist who has visited Syria during the current crisis and provided art therapy to refugee children.

Light refreshments provided.

The event is free for the public and families with children are encouraged to attend. RSVP to info@unapasadena.org.
