This has been a long federal budget season. It kicked off in March with the release of President Trump’s initial budget blueprint, and then evolved throughout the year with a series of challenges to federal health care reform and the U.S. House and Senate approving a budget framework that paves the way for deep tax cuts and major spending reductions.

The emerging federal budget picture has had nonprofits, funders, and communities across California expecting major impacts on housing, transportation, health, arts, education, workforce development, immigration, and many other areas — and seeking to plan for the unknown.

So where do things go from here? And how can you stay engaged moving ahead? While nobody can say for certain exactly where the federal budget will be on December 6th, our panel of experts will discuss the latest developments in Washington, D.C., and California and share their perspectives about what to expect and how the issues you care about will figure in the debate.
