DESCRIPTION:Community Gatherings that Restore & Renew \n\n\n\nIf you work in nonprofits or community spaces and have been holding the heartbreak of wildfires\, political violence\, and ongoing collective crises\, this space is for you. Practicing Joy in Times of Crisis is a series of 10 community gatherings\, five virtual and five in-person\, designed to help you reconnect with joy and hope as intentional practices. \n\n\n\nThis series is presented in partnership with A Thousand Joys. \n\n\n\nThese gatherings are not about bypassing pain. Joy includes our grief. It includes our exhaustion. It includes our rage. Together\, through movement\, music\, restorative practices\, reflection\, and community dialogue\, we will reset our nervous systems and replenish our spirits. When we care for ourselves\, we strengthen our capacity to show up for the people and communities who rely on us. Sustainable service requires sustainable self-care. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSoft Landing (in person) at DENA Heals \n\n\n\nA movement\, sound healing\, and deep rest experience *for nonprofit staff impacted and involved in wildfire recovery work*  \n\n\n\nWith Francine Madera \n\n\n\nThis evening is an invitation to open\, move\, release\, and rest your body. As a group we’ll move through some gentle and freeing movement to shake off the day\, open the body\, and awaken lighter energy within ourselves. Expect transformative breathing exercises and sound bowls to carry the group into a state of deep rest through a yoga nidra experience with sound healing. This offering is about receiving\, you are invited to just show up and enjoy the journey. \n\n\n\nAbout Francine:  \n\n\n\nFrancine Madera is a strategist\, educator\, and healer working at the intersection of wellbeing\, creativity and business. As the founder of Grow with Francine\, she draws on more than two decades of experience in entrepreneurship\, community building\, wellness education\, leadership development\, and entrepreneurship to help people build lives and organizations that are both sustainable and meaningful.
