Join us for our signature Effective Board Training Series, led by consultant Mitch Dorger. This series is designed to empower individuals serving on nonprofit boards with essential knowledge and skills. Each month, we explore a new topic critical to effective board governance, making this series perfect for both new board members and seasoned members seeking to enhance their expertise.

All sessions take place Thursdays from 9:30am-12pm

To learn more about board service, fill out this form. Once we receive this, we will schedule an hour-long orientation to explain the program and get to know you and your volunteer interests. We do not charge a fee for this service, but we always gratefully accept donations.

Board Coaches

Through our skilled volunteer program, we provide board coaches that work with boards for 6 – 9 months to clarify roles and responsibilities, establish realistic goals for the board, and develop recruitment and orientation processes. Apply for a board coach on our Request a Volunteer page.

One-Time Practical Workshops

Starting in the latter half of 2023, JRP will begin offering periodic one-off trainings. These workshops will go deeper into individual topics and provide practical guidance on how to implement what you’ve learned, not just the theory. Keep an eye out for upcoming dates!
