Valley Nonprofit Resources (www.csun.edu/valley-nonprofit-resources) invites you to Chinese Philanthropy and Nonprofits in the US, a lecture about how Chinese immigrants and immigrant communities in the United States are increasingly involved in philanthropy. CSUN Sociology Professor Victor Shaw reviews these activities, and explores the major social forces behind Chinese philanthropy. The free lecture, co-sponsored by the CSUN China Institute and Southern California Grantmakers, will be presented on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, 1:30-2:30 pm, in the Whitsett Room, 4th Floor of Sierra Hall.
