Young & Healthy (yhpasadena.org) is one of Pasadena’s best-loved nonprofits and for good reason: they’re wonderful. They have been connecting uninsured and under-insured children with high-quality health care for over 20 years. They are always improving their programs, services and operations. They asked JRP to help them with human resources infrastructure, both on the strategic level of making sure their staffing structure makes sense for their existing and new programs, as well as updating their employee manual. Tammy Sandberg helped them think through their organizational chart, job descriptions and work flows, while Betty Liu updated their manual.
