There are many ways to help youth build character and develop a system of values; the First Tee is national program that uses golf to promote healthy choices, both physical and ethical. Frank Roach, Assistant Vice President of Commercial Lending at Boston Private Bank, approached JRP about being matched with a nonprofit board in early 2018. Frank participated in team sports as a kid and has coached several teams. He loves how sports develop team work and good sportsmanship, so we knew the First Tee would be a great match for him. The First Tee of Greater Pasadena is a very well-run organization, earning multiple credentials from the national headquarters for an effective board and good business practices. As a first-time board member, JRP knew that it would provide Frank with a great first board experience, and would match his passion for sports. He is so inspired by the First Tee’s mission that he’s working on improving his golf game, in addition to providing his time, talent and treasure!
