Nonprofit boards of directors provide the leadership and vision to execute our organizations’ missions, yet most board members receive little to no training on how to be an effective board member. JRP offers a quarterly Effective Board workshop series, with the first session being Fundamentals of Nonprofit Governance on Wed., Feb. 13. Topics will cover board basics, including
- an overview of the social sector,
- the role of a board,
- responsibilities of board members, both as a group and as individuals.
Open to people who are currently on boards, would like to join a board or nonprofit staff who work with the board.
