It’s sometimes hard to see the long-term impact of JRP’s nonprofit capacity building working. But in looking back at all of our work with Arlington Garden, we see the fruit of our labor, both in the garden itself, which continues to evolve and in the organization, which is thriving too! From December 2013:
JRP’s newest project with Arlington Garden (www.arlingtongardeninpasadena.com) is strategic thinking and action planning for 2014. The garden has been in existence for almost 10 years and has gone from a vacant lot to lovely oasis in the that time. The co-founders are now thinking about what their next steps are: How can they continue to grow? What strategic alliances can they engage to make their work more efficient? How can they continue to increase visitors? JRP volunteer Anne Kennedy will think through many of these questions with the founders and board and help Arlington grow and flourish!
