Economic Impact of California Nonprofits

Join CalNonprofits Executive Director Jan Masaoka for a presentation on CalNonprofits’ new study on the economic impact of California’s Nonprofit Sector. In 2014, CalNonprofits published the Causes Count report, the first of its kind to examine the nonprofit sector’s scope, activities and economic impact in the state of California. While some regional research about nonprofits has been conducted, this new Causes Count looks closely at the statewide nonprofit workforce, disparities among California regions, foundation giving in California, and other key economic metrics. Just as a farmer needs to know the state of the farming industry, nonprofit leaders can use this information not only in their own organizations, but in the formation of policy agendas. Plus it will be fun!

This workshop is open to Executive Directors and anyone interested in the nonprofit sector. Executive Directors who are members of the Pasadena Executive Roundtable can attend this session at no additional cost; there is a $10 charge for guests. Executive Directors of Pasadena-area nonprofits are welcome to become members for $50 (membership is through June 2020).
