During this time of giving, I wondered how much Americans give each year. Charity Navigator gave a great synopsis of the Giving USA 2018 (using 2017 stats) report, citing the following:
- $410.02 billion were given to charity
- 70% of that was given by individuals
- Religion and education continue to get the largest percentage of gifts (31& and 14% relatively)
