Thinking Through Organizational Plans with RASopathies Network
RASopathies are a group of genetic syndromes that may be as common as 1:1000. While these individual syndromes are rare, as a group, the RASopathies are among the most common genetic conditions in the world.
RASopathies Network‘s mission is to advance research of the RASopathies by bringing together families, clinicians and scientists.
Lisa Schoyer, President of RASopathies Network, knew that board development would help move the organization forward and allow them to fully invest in planning for the future. JRP brought on volunteer Emily Abbott who had experience in executive coaching and strategic planning to assist in reviewing board roles, priorities, frustrations, and strengths.
Lisa found that the project:
“helped provide common language and focus, and, despite our being at all corners of the continental US, brought the Board closer and allowed them to be more accountable”
Lisa is excited to move forward with developing and implementing their first strategic plan for the organization, thereby helping more people and families affected by these rare disorders.
