Academy of Music for the Blind Debuts New Marketing Strategy
For 12 years, the Academy of Music for the Blind has offered the only year-round comprehensive music and performing arts education for the blind. While AMB has been meeting their mission of addressing the unique talents and challenges of blind youth by developing their musical, creative, cognitive, physical and social skills through education in music and the performing arts, AMB needed a strong marketing plan in order to achieve their vision of creating a world where a comprehensive education in music and the performing arts will be available to blind youth regardless of economic status or geography.
AMB turned to Jericho Road Pasadena to assist them in this marketing project. JRP matched AMB with JRP skilled marketing volunteer, Larry Kaplan, who came on board to help the organization raise their public profile.
The project shifted to organizing the nonprofit’s programs and marketing thoughts and strategies as the Safer at Home order interrupted how so many nonprofits serve their clients. AMB made a significant transition to online teaching in April & May, and while some marketing strategies were placed on a back burner, others strategies like promoting their online classes to a national audience were accelerated.
JRP is happy that the project was a success and has already begun work on another capacity building project with the organization! Check out AMB’s new Online Programming here.
