I cannot believe that school is starting, so that also means that it is the start of a new year for the Pasadena Executive Roundtable. In these unprecedented times, one glimmer of meaning that I have taken from all of this is that connection is more important than ever. I am happy to represent a group that helps each of us connect and gives us tools to be leaders in our organizations and our community.
For our September meeting, Life in the Time of Covid, which will be held on a new day and time, Thursday, September 10 at 7:30 pm – 9:00 pm, PERT members will be able to join a call with Pasadena Mayor Terry Tornek and the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center to discuss not only the pandemic, but the myriad of ways it is affecting the city.
Attached is our membership renewal form. We hope that you will join us for another year of great programming at an affordable price. You must renew your membership by Sept. 9 to have access to our first Zoom meeting of the year.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Melanie Goodyear of Jericho Road Pasadena and Cynthia Bengtson Budzyn, now a Community Volunteer, returning members of our Steering Committee. I appreciate their hard work and dedication to planning and executing all of the PERT activities and meetings.
I would also like to welcome Jerri Price-Grimes of Clazzical Notes and Beryl Strauss of the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center as two new members of the Steering Committee. Our organization is completely volunteer run and we work hard to provide meaningful programs to benefit all of us.
