Board Placement at Key Community Housing
Key Community Housing promotes and participates in partnerships to create and maintain accessible, affordable housing options for people with developmental disabilities. They have been a small but effective organization since 2008, managing 8 homes for disabled people. But with the need for housing, Key has big plans and needed a larger board to look at buying, refurbishing and maintaining more homes and possibly expanding services to other people needing housing.
Enter new board Keith Buck. Keith first worked with JRP as Interim Director at Door of Hope, where he asked for pro bono consulting through JRP. When he retired last year, he approached JRP about helping as a volunteer or being placed on a board. He was the perfect fit for Key, as he’s worked in affordable housing for many years and is an expert at operational support for growing organizations.
Thanks, Keith, for helping Key grow and serve even more people who need housing support!
