Board Development with Glendora After Stroke Center

Glendora After Stroke Center is a local nonprofit that provides quality no fee support programs for stroke survivors and their families. Their mission is to provide support to stroke survivors and their caregivers/families to better understand stroke, adjust to the changes that have occurred in their lives, gain independence and self confidence, strengthen social skills and develop a positive outlook in the emotional aftermath from a stroke.

When looking for resources to help strengthen their board of directors’ performance, GASC reached out to Jericho Road Pasadena for help in matching the organization with a board development resources.

JRP matched the organization with Victoria Stratman, a board development coach and JRP volunteer.

“Victoria provided strong support in developing an understanding of effective board functioning and structure, including development of an advisory committee and ways to manage the board. She conducted a thorough review of by-laws and articles and did a masterful job of revising them to be compliant. Her input and guidance in dealing with State and Federal NPO compliance was invaluable.” – Elise Monroe, Glendora After Stroke Center

JRP has volunteer consultants skilled in accounting, finance, fundraising, board development, professional coaching, strategic planning, human resources, IT systems, database design, marketing, writing, photography, and video production. They’re all ready to be matched with a local nonprofit.
