The 2021 Pasadena Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer event has been transformed into a weeklong virtual series. We will share a daily inspirational community message each morning beginning on Monday, May 3 and concluding on Friday, May 7. The series features a variety of prayer and music from Pasadena congregations and nonprofits.
One of the interfaith clergy participating this year is Rabbi Joshua Levine Grater, Executive Director of Friends In Deed. Rabbi Grater was ordained as a rabbi in 1999, and has served three different congregations: Congregation B’nai Jeshurun in Manhattan, Congregation Ahavah Israel in Kingston, NY, and the Pasadena Jewish Temple and Center. His spirituality and deep connection to people, families and his community is a hallmark of Rabbi Grater’s approach. He is also a percussionist, lover of music, hiking, family, reading and riding his motorcycle. He lives in Pasadena with his wife, Franci, and his teenage twins.
