Pasadena Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Virtual Event Sponsor Highlight: Villa Esperanza Services
Thank you to Villa Esperanza Services for their streaming sponsorship of the 2021 Pasadena Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Breakfast!
Villa Esperanza Services serves intellectually/developmentally disabled individuals in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Villa is a unique service provider, offering individualized programs and a continuum of care over the course of a lifetime. Our comprehensive programs for children are centralized on a single campus and include the Villa Esperanza School, the Hjelte-Phillips Speech and Language Center, and occupational therapy clinic. Our personalized programs for adults integrated throughout the community include Employment Services, family-style residential homes, independent living skills coaching, and day programs for adults and seniors. We change lives–from teaching a child with autism how to say “hello;” to giving an adult with Down syndrome the skills to earn a paycheck and the pride of having a job; to providing an intellectually disabled senior the opportunity to give back to the community through volunteering and helping others.
Pasadena Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer Virtual Event
May 3-May 7
The Mayor of Pasadena hosts an annual breakfast to coincide with the National Day of Prayer in May. JRP is proud to be the 2021 organizer. This inspirational community event is open to not only people of multiple faiths, but also to business people, nonprofits and community residents. The keynote speaker provides a thought-provoking and inspirational message that speaks to our whole community, whether from a faith tradition or no faith background.
This year, the event has been transformed into a weeklong virtual series. We will share a daily inspirational community message each morning beginning on Monday, May 3 and concluding on Friday, May 7. The series features a variety of prayer and music from Pasadena churches and nonprofits.
One day’s message will feature an interview with keynote speaker Dr. Terrence Roberts, who is a management consultant and mental health professional, and was a member of the Little Rock Nine.
