Have you considered serving on a nonprofit board? JRP offers a quarterly board development series, which is great for people who would like to join a board, people already serving on a board, or nonprofit staff who work with their board. The next 2-part session will be June 11 and 18, 10 am – 12 pm via Zoom. It is not necessary to have attended the first session; attend one workshop to increase your knowledge and skill, or attend all four to become an expert!
Trainer Mitch Dorger will train you to be an effective board member. Joining a board is a win-win-win:
– nonprofits benefit by getting new, qualified board members, which is crucial for nonprofits’ success
– individuals will benefit by engaging in their community personally, sharing their time and talents as a nonprofit board member
– businesses will benefit by demonstrating their commitment to the community through substantive service
