Clazzical Notes presents “Black Mecca,” the name for the blossoming of African American culture known as the Harlem Renaissance. This stirring program of music, songs, words, and dance, will be presented on Friday, February 10, at 7:00 p.m. at Alkebulan Cultural Center.
This Black History Month event is curated to pay tribute to the legendary singers, musicians, poets and dancers that revitalized the feeling of Black pride, artistic prowess, and social awareness during the 1920’s through the 1930’s.
