Tomorrow, April 22, is Earth Day and it’s the perfect opportunity to take action to protect our planet. If you’re in Pasadena, here are some activities you can join to celebrate:
- Celebrate at One Colorado Old Pasadena for their Bee Kind To Our Planet event! Enjoy a farmers market, tastings, plant workshop, giveaways, and more.
- Join the beautification activity at Eaton Canyon with LA County PArks and Recreation. Help with trash pickup, removal of invasive plants, and other beautification efforts to care for the canyon.
- Test ride an electric bike for free with San Gabriel Valley’s e-bike sharing program! Join Day One at the Azusa Community Festival and Eco Fair from 12pm-5pm at Memorial Park, 320 N. Orange Place, Azusa 91702.
- Celebrate Mother Earth in an Earth Day-inspired portraiture workshop with Armory Center For the Arts. Students will learn about collage artist Jesse Treece as they create portraits using paper collage and organic materials.
- Join Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition for a morning walk that highlights gardens providing habitat and beautifying their neighborhoods using native California plants.
And if you’re looking for ways to make a positive impact on the environment, here are some tips from the City of Pasadena:
