Earth Day

Tomorrow, April 22, is Earth Day and it’s the perfect opportunity to take action to protect our planet. If you’re in Pasadena, here are some activities you can join to celebrate:

  1. Celebrate at One Colorado Old Pasadena for their Bee Kind To Our Planet event! Enjoy a farmers market, tastings, plant workshop, giveaways, and more.
  2. Join the beautification activity at Eaton Canyon with LA County PArks and Recreation. Help with trash pickup, removal of invasive plants, and other beautification efforts to care for the canyon.
  3. Test ride an electric bike for free with San Gabriel Valley’s e-bike sharing program! Join Day One at the Azusa Community Festival and Eco Fair from 12pm-5pm at Memorial Park, 320 N. Orange Place, Azusa 91702.
  4. Celebrate Mother Earth in an Earth Day-inspired portraiture workshop with Armory Center For the Arts. Students will learn about collage artist Jesse Treece as they create portraits using paper collage and organic materials.
  5. Join Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition for a morning walk that highlights gardens providing habitat and beautifying their neighborhoods using native California plants.

And if you’re looking for ways to make a positive impact on the environment, here are some tips from the City of Pasadena:
Go Car-Free, Spend Time in Nature, Shop Sustainably, Live Slowly, Get Involved, and Volunteer.

Let’s all do our part to keep our planet green!
