Our new Executive Director Social Impact Leadership Program is a premier training initiative designed for new and aspiring Executive Directors and CEOs. This comprehensive program, taking place every Friday in September, equips participants with critical skills and knowledge to excel in nonprofit leadership roles.
Program Highlights:
- Dates: Each Friday in September from 8:30 AM to 4:15 PM.
- Location: In-person sessions with lunch included.
- Instructor: Led by Zoot Velasco, an experienced educator and author.
- Content: The curriculum covers leadership, management, supervision, innovation, vision planning, fund development, strategic partnerships, board and staff development, program development, grantsmanship, marketing, and succession planning.
Participants will benefit from research-based training, including Zoot Velasco’s latest book and essential templates for leading organizations. This program is particularly valuable for those looking to lead their organizations through challenging economic times, drawing insights from the Gianneschi Center’s study on successful organizations during the Great Recession.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion: Nonprofit leadership often lacks diversity, with people of color holding only 10% of CEO positions and 6% of board chairs despite an increasingly diverse workforce. Jericho Road Pasadena’s program aims to address this by encouraging diverse applicants and fostering an inclusive environment, supporting the development of equitable leadership in the nonprofit sector.
Who Should Attend:
- New Executive Directors and CEOs of 501(c)3 public benefit exempt organizations.
- Staff members aspiring to become CEOs.
- Students aiming for leadership roles in community organizations.
- Board members of small organizations.
Registration:
- General Admission (by August 23): $800 per participant.
Fees are payable upon acceptance into the program, partially underwritten by our generous sponsors to offer special rates.
