Black Art Matters Presents: “Pop Out For Dena”
New Date: February 22, 2025
Time: 12 PM – 7 PM
Location: Jackie Robinson Community Center
This Black History Month, we’re coming together to heal, celebrate, and give back to families impacted by the Eaton Fire in Pasadena and Altadena.
We’re looking for 9 families to help and support during this fundraiser. Applications are open now. The form to fill out is in our bio if you are a family in need of assistance.
Get Involved: If you’ve already heard from us and confirmed your participation, mark your calendars! If not, we’ll be reaching out within 24–48 hours. DM us if you’re interested in being part of this beautiful day.
Important Info: Every single transaction the day of the event will go directly to supporting our cause. There will be a QR code linked to our fundraiser for all purchases. If you want to support anyone participating, vendors, artists, or performers, you’ll do so by making a donation directly through the QR code. This is about community and giving back, it’s not your typical pop-up.
What to Expect: Black-owned vendors
Visual artists showcasing their work
Live performances by poets, musicians, and DJs
Food vendors serving up delicious flavors
Guest speakers
A raffle
A potential short film screening
Black joy, Black love, and the magic of our community
+SPECIAL GUEST PERFORMANCES
After the event, within the following two weeks, we’ll hold a special ceremony to honor the 9 families chosen, where we’ll present checks and resources to help them rebuild.
If you can’t make it but want to contribute, the link to donate to our cause is also in our bio. Every dollar counts, and we appreciate your support in helping us serve our community.
This event is rooted in love and unity—a day for us to show up for Dena the way only we can. Let’s pour into our community, celebrate Black excellence, and make something magical happen. We have so much in store for our people this year!
