Volunteer Appreciation Month Spotlight: Julia & Her Work with the Asian American Professional Association
April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we’re thrilled to shine a spotlight on one of our incredible volunteers — Julia — for her outstanding work with the Asian American Professional Association (AAPA).
Julia brought her strategic insight and deep commitment to community service to a project that made a lasting impact on AAPA’s growth and sustainability. As part of her work, she:
- Reviewed and strengthened AAPA’s fundraising materials
- Helped identify both existing and potential revenue sources
- Created the initial outline for AAPA’s strategic development plan
Julia’s fresh perspective and thoughtful approach to board fundraising efforts added real value to the organization. Her work laid a strong foundation for future fundraising initiatives and long-term growth.
Karen Loong, AAPA’s ED, shared this testimonial about her contribution:
“Julia was a great collaborator in this project. She reviewed our current fundraising materials, supported with identifying existing and potential sources of revenue, and created the initial outline of the strategic development plan. Julia provided us with great suggestions, a fresh perspective on board fundraising efforts, and was passionate about serving our community.”
Thank you, Julia, for your time, dedication, and passion. Your work is a perfect example of the power of skills-based volunteering!
