Celebrating Women’s Day with Music: Free Concert in Pasadena

This Women’s History Month, the Pasadena community is invited to experience an evening of music that honors the creativity and legacy of women composers.

Melodia Mariposa will present a special free concert in celebration of International Women’s Day on Saturday, March 7 at 7:00 PM. The performance will take place at the AGBU Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Cultural Center (2495 E. Mountain Street, Pasadena).

Program Highlights

The evening will feature three chamber works by women composers across generations:

  • Piano Trio by Clara Schumann
  • Piano Quintet by Amy Beach
  • Rain@5, a string quartet by Los Angeles–based composer Anna Drubich, presented as a special performance
