Accounting + Volunteering | It all adds up for Mila Milivoievici

A repeat volunteer with Jericho Road Pasadena, Mila Milivoievici brings a wealth of essential knowledge and a portfolio of accounting skills to each organization she supports.

“I’ve had the opportunity to volunteer with Jericho on several projects. These included migrating bookkeeping records from spreadsheets to QuickBooks, reviewing first-time tax filings, conducting cost- benefit analyses, and designing customized charts of accounts.”

Mila views every project she takes on as a chance to support nonprofits in strengthening their financial systems and specific processes. One of her favorites involved helping an organization migrate its accounting records from a Google spreadsheet into QuickBooks.

“It was a big project. I set up a new chart of accounts, customized reports, and built processes to support their ongoing use of the system.”

Thanks to Mila’s expertise, the transition streamlined the organization’s daily operations, automated several manual tasks, and significantly improved the accuracy and efficiency of their reporting.

“It’s rewarding to know that my expertise helps a nonprofit’s mission, whether by improving their systems, streamlining operations, or solving specific challenges.”

If you have professional skills and want to make a difference in your community, we invite you to volunteer your expertise.
