The 2021 Pasadena Mayor’s Interfaith Prayer event has been transformed into a weeklong virtual series. We will share a daily inspirational community message each morning beginning on Monday, May 3 and concluding on Friday, May 7. The series features a variety of prayer and music from Pasadena congregations and nonprofits.
One of the interfaith clergy participating this year is local Imam J.D. Hall. For the past 40 plus years Imam Hall has earned his living as a professional actor, writer, director and voiceover artist. He has acted in numerous TV shows including “Fresh Prince of Bel Air,” “iCarly,” Lincoln Heights and most recently “911.” Contemporaneously he has been a Muslim. He has served as an Imam & Khateeb (Preacher) for the last 20 plus years. He has also made the pilgrimage to Mecca 6 times, Alhamdulillah! He currently gives Khutbat (Sermons) every other Friday at 1:30 pm, on Facebook Live.
