In response to the devastating Eaton Fire that has displaced students and families in Pasadena and Altadena, the 16th Annual Young Black Males Conference (YBMC) has evolved to serve as a space for restorative healing and community rebuilding. The conference, taking place on Friday, February 7, 2025, at Caltech, will provide essential resources, mentorship, and critical support for young Black males navigating these challenging times.

This year’s reimagined theme focuses on “Healing, Empowerment & Resilience: Strengthening Our Future”, ensuring students receive not only academic and career guidance but also mental health support, housing resources, and community engagement to help them move forward. The conference will welcome over 200 young men from 8th grade to college, primarily from Pasadena Unified School District (PUSD) and surrounding areas.

Event Highlights

🔹 Restorative Healing & Support

● Workshops focusing on mental health, safety preparedness, financial recovery, and rebuilding after disaster.

● Counseling and mentorship opportunities with professionals who understand the trauma of displacement.
