Wellness Workshops
Jericho Road Pasadena is dedicated to strengthening the impact of nonprofits on their communities. Since the LA Wildfires, we have felt the weight of local nonprofits doubling down on recovery efforts. We’re here to offer nonprofit staff working in wildfire recovery a reprieve, as well as a place to process and recharge. When we care for ourselves, we strengthen our capacity to show up for the people and communities who rely on us. Sustainable service requires sustainable self-care. For the next two years through this new initiative, we aim to renew and maintain the ability of these organizations to create significant and positive changes in the communities they serve.

Practicing Joy in Times of Crisis
Community Gatherings that Restore & Renew
Starting April 16th JRP and A Thousand Joys begin Practicing Joy in Times of Crisis: a series of 10 community gatherings, five virtual and five in-person, designed to help nonprofit staff working in LA wildfire recovery reconnect with joy and hope as intentional practices.
Each session will center a different theme, from nervous system reset, to grief and joy, to rest and release, to hope as resistance. Some gatherings will focus on restorative and gentle practices. Others may invite music, creative expression, movement, or even play. Every gathering will include grounding, reflection, embodied practice, and meaningful connection. You can attend one or join many. Each session stands alone while also building toward a deeper sense of collective resilience over time.
Healing Together After the Fires: Open Support Group
Monthly Support Group for Nonprofit staff feeling the weight of Wildfire Recovery work
Starting in April, this monthly trauma-informed drop-in support group offers a calm, supportive space specifically for nonprofit workers doing wildfire recovery work to slow down, breathe, and tend to what remains. If your work relating to the Eaton or Palisades fires have left you feeling overwhelmed, unsettled, or changed, you are not alone.
Healing Together After the Fires: Closed Cohort
10 week closed Support Group for Nonprofit staff who lost their home or business in the LA Wildfires
If you have been directly impacted losing your home to the LA Wildfires and also work in nonprofits or community spaces supporting the LA Wildfire recovery efforts; this closed support group is for you. This is a consistently recurring 10-week trauma-informed support group offering nonprofit employees a steady, supportive space with the same cohort to slow down, reflect, and begin restoring a sense of balance in their day to day
