How to Work With Us

You don’t need a big budget or a full staff to get expert support. JRP connects nonprofits with skilled volunteer professionals who can tackle the specific challenges you’re facing, so you can get back to doing the work that matters. Here’s everything you need to know about how it works, what to expect, and what it costs.

JRP works with nonprofits of all types, sizes, and missions serving communities across the San Gabriel Valley and greater Los Angeles. We are a great fit for organizations that have a defined, short-term need and are ready to work alongside a skilled volunteer professional to address it.

Our process

  • Submit a volunteer request

Complete our Request for Volunteers form online. JRP will confirm receipt and schedule a call to talk through your project, discuss the fee, and give you a tentative timeline for finding the right match.

  • No-Obligation Meeting

We identify a potential volunteer match and share their credentials with you. Before anyone commits to anything, we schedule a no-obligation meeting so your team and the volunteer can decide together if it feels like the right fit.

  • Scope of work

JRP drafts a Scope of Work outlining goals, milestones, and timeline. Once your organization reviews, approves, and signs it, and the initial payment is received, you are officially on your way.

  • Project kickoff

With the Scope approved by all parties, work begins. Your volunteer brings the expertise. You bring the access, context, and responsiveness that makes their work possible.

  • Implementation

JRP stays in the loop throughout. Your volunteer and your team copy JRP on communications, and JRP staff check in regularly to make sure things are moving forward well for everyone involved.

  • Project closure

A project is not considered complete until the goals in the Scope of Work have been met and assessments from both your organization and the volunteer are finished. JRP follows up six months later to capture the long-term impact of the work.
