The City of Pasadena, in partnership with the One Arroyo Foundation, invites the community to a free, family-friendly Earth Day celebration on Saturday, April 18, from 8:30a.m. – 1:00p.m. at 360 N Arroyo Blvd, featuring the release of over 800 goats into the Arroyo Seco as part of a sustainable wildfire prevention effort. Attendees can witness the goats begin targeted grazing across nearly 100 acres to clear invasive vegetation and reduce fire risk following the impact of the Eaton Fire, while enjoying activities such as goat yoga, a petting zoo, educational talks with the goat herder, interactive booths, art projects, and outdoor programming from local partners. The event also highlights Pasadena’s broader environmental initiatives – including clean energy, transportation, and stormwater programs -offers opportunities to engage with City experts, contribute to the Climate Action Plan update, and includes free Pasadena Transit rides (Route 51) to Brookside, making it an engaging and meaningful way for the community to celebrate Earth Day and support local sustainability efforts.
