Syuzanna Titova: Sharing Her Global Experience with our Local Nonprofits

As Syuzanna Titova, a new volunteer with Jericho Road Pasadena, looks forward to her first assignment, she’s also looking back at what first intrigued her about the opportunity.

“I came from a country where this kind of professional volunteering is not very common so I was really impressed by the concept. I was especially drawn to the idea that in my free time I can contribute not only through small acts of help, but by sharing my professional experience, knowledge, and skills to support nonprofits in a meaningful way.”

With years of experience gained through her work in global organizations, Syuzanna brings a wealth of skills and deep knowledge to Jericho Road and the local nonprofit organizations the organization supports.

“My core expertise includes gathering business requirements, translating operational needs into clear technical specifications for development teams, coordinating communication between business stakeholders and technical teams, testing system enhancements, and supporting implementation from design through rollout and stabilization.”

While Syuzanna is excited to share her expertise with local organizations, she’s just as eager to begin her own discovery phase. “I’m curious to learn more about how nonprofits operate within the U.S. professional environment and how teams here approach collaboration, communication, and problem-solving.”

As Syuzanna gears up for her first volunteer assignment–she’ll be supporting the Jericho Road team directly–she’s already determining the impact she hopes to impart. “Success for me would mean being able to make a tangible, practical contribution to a nonprofit’s work by helping solve a real operational challenge,” adding that she would consider it a meaningful impact if her contribution “helped make a process more efficient, reduced manual effort, improved communication and coordination, or enabled the organization to focus more of its time and resources on its mission.”
