Shepherd’s Pantry, a Glendora non-profit, provides food, clothing, emotional support, resource counseling and tutoring to those in need living in the East San Gabriel Valley. Recipients of Congresswoman Judy Chu’s award in 2013 as the Outstanding Non-Profit of the Year they have amazing volunteers who provide services to people who come in during a difficult time in their lives. Jericho Road stepped in with volunteer Heather Tunis when Shepherd’s Pantry asked for assistance with a merger they were contemplating with another food assistance program, Cory’s Kitchen. Heather’s experience as an executive coach with the Center for Non Profit Management enabled her to provide leadership and results to the boards that were both tangible and professional. Shepherd’s Pantry now has a clearer direction and the capacity to serve clients for future years in the community they serve.
