Nonprofits struggle to find dedicated board members to lead the organization. Joyce Wedseltoft retried a year ago and thought she might be interested in board service but wasn’t sure to begin. She attended JRP’s Leadership Connection program and had several conversations with Melanie about what kind of board she might like to join. After being a responsible adult with a job in IT project management, Joyce wanted to explore her life-long passion for art, so Melanie introduced Joyce to Pasadena Arts Council (pasadenaartscouncil.org) Exec. Dir. Robert and Board Chair Nancy. It was a perfect match! Joyce is thrilled to be working with an arts organization that has so many programs covering visual arts, music, and even science, and PAC is excited to have a hard-working, enthusiastic new board member.
