Grant Writing Project Complete for School Yoga

Grants can be a major source of revenue for nonprofits, but applying for grants is complicated, especially for small nonprofits, which may lack the time and infrastructure for large grant requests. JRP volunteer Pat McClellan recently completed a project with School Yoga (www.school-yoga.org) to help their Exec. Dir., Kelly, set up a good process for applying for grants. With tighter boilerplate content, a list of prospective foundations, better research skills and a calendar of request and report deadlines, Kelly will be much more efficient in applying for and hopefully receiving grants. In fact, School Yoga already received a $5,000 grant from a foundation that Pat identified! Although JRP cannot help nonprofits with the ongoing task of applying for grants, we are glad to help small nonprofits be more effective and efficient in fundaising through grants. Thank you, Pat!

Jericho Road Pasadena connects skilled volunteers with nonprofits that offer critical services to under-served residents in their communities. Meeting this need allows nonprofit staff to focus on stronger delivery of services, thereby building better communities.
