Managing data in the 21st century can be overwhelming, as the technology available to record data is often far more advanced than people’s ability to use it. JRP uses Salesforce, a great constituent relationship manager (CRM) which is free to nonprofits. We have been so lucky to have several great Salesforce volunteers in the past year helping us use the technology to streamline our work. Volunteers Suresh Uppala and Srinath Thimmasetty actually work for Salesforce and helped us as part of Salesforce’s pro bono program and Venkatesa Murugesan is a Canadian-based developer who is helping us integrate online forms into Salesforce. In house, we have Gayle Tomita-Oswald, whose expertise is actually digital marketing, but who is so smart that she can help with data management too! For a small organization, we have a robust and sophisticated CRM, which means that we can help more nonprofits and offer great experiences to volunteers. Many thanks to all of you!
