10th Anniversary Flashback Friday: Arlington Garden

Founders Betty & Charlie McKenney have left a beautiful legacy for the city of Pasadena.

Arlington Garden has grown by leaps and bounds since we posted this in April 2014. We are especially happy that our volunteer was able to document their organizational goals, as the planning document helped Arlington Garden survive the passing of the garden’s founders, Betty and Charlie McKenney, and bring current staff, volunteers and board members, into planning and growth.

Many thanks to volunteer Anne Kennedy, who has recently completed a strategic thinking project with Arlington Garden (www.arlingtongardeninpasadena.org). The founders of Arlington have done everything to build a Mediterranean garden on the corner of Arlington & Pasadena avenue. Because they spend so much time weeding the garden, both literally and figuratively, Anne helped them to look at the big picture and do some long-term planning for the garden. Thanks to Anne for her volunteer time and to the McKenneys for providing this oasis in Pasadena!
