HR Volunteers Keep Nonprofits Running Smoothly

Christina Howard has volunteered her Human Resources skills with Jericho Road Pasadena for the past three years. During this time, Christina has given over 365 hours of professional consulting to local nonprofits through our skilled volunteer program! All nonprofits need good human resources infrastructure in order successfully to hire and retain employees and to run a healthy organization. Christina has stepped up to help local nonprofits understand changing laws, hire new employees and develop effective staff systems and employee handbooks.

Some of the nonprofits that JRP has matched Christina’s skills with include Rose City Counseling Center, Caesura Youth Orchestra, Advancing Students Forward and Foothill Creative Arts Group.

Most recently, Christina volunteered to help JRP update our own employee manual! As laws and regulations change frequently, JRP is thankful for Christina’s work in keeping us up-to-date on current regulations and best practices.
