Pasadena Councilmember Tyron Hampton dedicates a new tree being planted by the Pasadena Beautiful Foundation

Pasadena Beautiful Foundation‘s mission is to restore, renew and protect Pasadena’s parks, urban forests, and public spaces. Of course, they need a beautiful website to show their community and environmental impact! So they came to JRP to ask for help. We had the perfect volunteer, Jason Orellana, who started re-creating their site just at the beginning of the pandemic. We quickly realized that Jason had become a full-time teacher and care giver to his kids, so volunteering for this project was going to be harder for him than we expected; another JRP volunteer, Matt Bragg, joined the project to provide extra support.

Despite the challenges of getting pro bono projects done during a global pandemic, Pasadena Beautiful now has a lovely new website. Many thanks to PBF for keeping Pasadena’s trees and gardens so beautiful and thanks to Jason and Matt for completing the project.
