Celebrating Pasadena Community Foundation’s Investment in Local Nonprofits.
We are excited to celebrate the Pasadena Community Foundation’s recent announcement of nearly $600,000 in Capital Grants awarded to 29 nonprofit organizations across Pasadena, Altadena, and Sierra Madre.
Sixteen months after the Eaton Fire, many local nonprofits continue working tirelessly to support individuals and families affected by the disaster while also responding to growing community needs. These grants recognize not only the importance of nonprofit programs, but also the infrastructure and operational capacity required to sustain that work long term.
The funding will support a wide range of projects, including facility improvements, technology upgrades, transportation needs, safety enhancements, and expanded community spaces. From new food pantry equipment and upgraded wellness centers to expanded shelter capacity for families experiencing homelessness, these investments strengthen the foundation that allows nonprofits to continue serving our communities effectively.
Among the organizations receiving major grants this year are Sierra Madre Library Foundation and Door of Hope, both awarded $50,000 Capital Campaign Grants for transformational community projects. Additional grant recipients include organizations working in housing, education, cultural preservation, mental health, environmental stewardship, and family services.
At Jericho Road Pasadena, we know firsthand how critical strong operational capacity is for nonprofits. Behind every successful program are the systems, equipment, spaces, and infrastructure that make the work possible. Investments like these help organizations remain resilient, sustainable, and prepared to continue serving the community during times of both stability and crisis.
We extend our sincere congratulations to all of this year’s grant recipients and our gratitude to Pasadena Community Foundation for its continued commitment to strengthening the nonprofit sector in our region.
